Heroes Are Made, Not Born
God’s elect have the opportunity to be willing participants as God’s witnesses to the world – people who willingly lay down their lives as true examples of God’s redemptive power to reconcile all mankind to Himself. They are freewill offerings in the army of God. This type of heart is not natural to man, but is one that is formed by God’s Holy Spirit working with each of them. Pentecost is the reminder that on this day God poured out His Spirit on Christ’s disciples thus beginning a spiritual called out congregation of disciples. His willing participants recognize that God’s cause is greater than any individual life.
