Many details of the Israelites’ journey away from Egypt is recorded in the Book of Psalms. Although complete with factual information of their travels, the Psalms contain vital information of spiritual value for us. In particular is Psalm 107. The title of the Psalm is “The redeemed of Yahweh.” The spiritual connection is obvious. The prominent theme is the giving of thanks and praise to God. As the redeemed people of God, we are encouraged to sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving. This sermon explores the sacrifices of thanksgiving.
