Our vision is the unified spiritual Bride of Christ, living and representing the gospel of God’s plan of salvation for humanity. Our mission is to nurture the church family as a spiritual organism, feeding the flock and sharing the gospel.
Pentecost draws our attention to the concepts of harvest and firstfruits. This connection is not incidental, because agriculture is spiritually instructive. The act of giving firstfruits to God is an individual act of physical obedience, a spiritual journey, and a festive public celebration. The production of firstfruits humbles us, highlights our dependency on God, and helps us appreciate how precious we are to Him. Because we are God’s firstfruits. He is cultivating us to maturity for harvest with great anticipation. Our works are our firstfruits. We should be offering our best. Dwelling on these concepts should encourage and motivate our spiritual work.
