Filled with the Holy Spirit
In religious stories and articles we hear or read of people being filled with the Holy Spirit. Often being filled with the Holy Spirit is connected to speaking in tongues. This connection is taken out of an instance in the book of Acts. But what is really meant by “filled with the Holy Spirit”? And why were they? In this message we will first dig a little deeper by using Biblical scriptures, into what is meant through the usage of the word filled. Next we’ll review the instance in the book of Acts. Then we can understand the reason and purpose for the usage of “filled with the Holy Spirit” for that moment in time.
