Spiritual Maturity in an Emotional World
Today’s communication can be corrupt and painful. Emotions are all over the place. Humankind has become so void of understanding and empathy that they feel that it is their “right” to just let it go. To release oneself is now considered necessary to cleanse the mind and feel good. It is normal for one to “vent and release”. We have all probably overheard people make statements like, “I just had to get it out… I was angry, but once I got those people told, I felt so much better!” Is this type of corrupt communication acceptable to God? The answer, of course is “NO”, but the world has adopted it. How about the people of God? Is this what spiritual maturity looks like or does God want His people to handle emotions in a mature way, using His Spirit that He has given to us? Today, let’s explore.
