The Old is Not Better
Prior to Jesus Christ beginning His ministry he became well known for His teachings and miraculous healings. So much so that Pharisees and teachers of the law came out of every town of Galilee, Judah, and Jerusalem to see what Jesus was saying and doing. In one occasion they observed individuals lowering a paralyzed man through the roof of a home Jesus was visiting. Friends going above and beyond, in hope of him being healed. Jesus could have said “Rise up and walk” but instead He said “Your sins are forgiven you”. To which the Pharisees and teachers took offense and accused Him of Blasphemy. Then they followed him to a great feast with a tax collector. Asking Jesus “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Along with His reply Jesus spoke His first two parables. Thus began a separation of understanding
