Power is highly sought after in the world today. It comes in many forms: intellect, government, engineering and construction, the military, weapons, education and money to name a few. People put such high hopes in power and yet as Lord Acton, a late 19th century historian put it, “Power corrupts.” Power, in general will erode to the love of self above all others. That is why the very power of God in us can be such a blessing. God’s power, the Holy Spirit, is exerted for the good of others and will ultimately lead to peace and joy. You need to understand what it is that can unleash that miraculous power within you.
