The Assyrian Connection
Assur was the second son of Shem. Assur grew into a powerful empire but with the defeat of Nineveh the empire came to an end. In secular history that is where the Assyrian empire ends. However, historical evidence shows a migration to the north and west – into Western Europe. Prophecy outlines a fourth world ruling empire, the Holy Roman Empire which it connects to the remnant of Assyria. Stirrings in Germany today indicate a rising Germany which is on track to become a military power in Europe. Are we witnessing the beginnings of a resurrected Holy Roman Empire? Paul told Timothy that, “The solid foundation of God stands.” We need to be building that solid foundation.
