Stepping out from the Corner
Through trials and obstacles in our lives, we can really come to feel trapped at times or “moved into a corner” with seemingly no way of escape. When that happens, look at the story of ancient Israel crossing the Red Sea to remind us of what He can do for us, spiritual Israel, who do have that calling and sure election. In His deliverance, He asks us to stand still and wait on Him. Waiting is this sense does not mean to passively do nothing, but instead to faithfully prepare to move forward.
