Solomon states that the main purpose of Proverbs is for learning about wisdom and discipline. He explains further that the proverbs are for understanding deep thoughts, for securing a good, fulfilling and ordered life by doing what is right, just and fair according to God’s standards.
We will take a look at one aspect of this theme of Proverbs – the wise and foolish use of the tongue. Probably more sin is committed by the foolish misuse of the tongue than any other way. We’ll see how the wise and the foolish use their tongue and how we can increase in wisdom and discipline.
