Lessons from a Miracle
When we read and study the Bible we need to pray and ask God for discernment and understanding. Recently I put this into practice while I was reviewing several of the miracles that were done by Christ. And one particular miracle caught my attention. In this message we will review and glean 5 lessons from one of Christ’s miracles near the end of His ministry.The miracle is found in the gospel of Mark. Mark 8:22. Which begins “Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand” Christ did as the people asked. He touched him yet the man was not immediately healed. They brought him to Christ. He did not come by himself. This man lacked faith. The first lesson is we need to have faith. As we go further through this message regarding this miracle we glean not only the lesson of needing faith, but other lessons. That Christ and God are perfect. That we need to anoint our spiritual eyes to see. That a minister of God can lay hands on us and ask God to give us His spirit. And last, that Christ not only healed this man but He has also healed us.
