God Knows!
Today is the Day of Pentecost; a day that ─ above all else ─ celebrates the fact that God has made His Holy Spirit available to humankind. It is also about the firstfruits ─ the small minority to whom God has given His Spirit in this timeframe… this very age. So it is appropriate to ask ourselves, are we using God’s gift of His Spirit adequately?Pentecost should be a time for us to consider our fruits. God is looking for spiritual fruit from His people. He is patient, but there is a time limit by virtue of our physical lifespan. Christ warns us not to be complacent and to take action while we can.
With God’s Spirit in us, and a desire to follow God, we will and must continue to produce fruit. Let us focus on producing this good fruit. Remember, God knows!
