Glorify God with Godly Furnishings
We are to glorify God and one way we do this is by the care we take with the calling God has given to each one of us. Both the Father and Christ want to dwell with each of us. They want to spend time with us and linger in conversation. What type of a home environment do we provide for them? Is it welcoming and inviting. Is it filled with light, good conversation and Godly things. Or is it dingy, unsightly and unappealing. God has provided us with the knowledge and wisdom of what He wants. He expects spiritual growth. He expects overcoming and changing and developing His Godly character. God wants to dwell with us individually and collectively as His Spiritual Temple. He is willing any day and any time to guide, assist and help us in our spiritual growth. He desires His Church to be the example of how to live and be the means by which He will draw all mankind to himself. He has provided a sound structural house for us and now it is our responsibility to furnish our spiritual home with those things God loves and remove from our premises all those things God hates. At baptism we committed our lives to God. It is now our ongoing responsibility to grow spiritually and build unity and oneness with one another in our joint fellowship. And in so doing, we will glorify our Father.
