Firstfruit Development
The Day of Pentecost represents the harvest of firstfruits – the first harvest. By counting 50 days we have been reminded that the crop to be harvested is in the making. Humans were created with the need to build the mind of God to complete their intended purpose. Through Jesus Christ, we have been called now to develop that mind. The Holy Spirit makes it possible for the development of godly character. Firstfruits are to develop that character now in their “day of salvation”. That is the fruit that will be harvested.
