Christ’s Preparation for His Return

What is Christ doing now to prepare for the dramatic unfolding of end-time events prophesied and depicted by the Fall Holy Days?

He has been fully engaged with humanity from the beginning, working to fulfill the will of His Father. He came to introduce man to the Father’s supreme authority by perfectly representing Him. Until Jesus Christ, humanity did not know the Father. Their relationship is eternal. They are one.

Christ’s responsibility it to reveal the Father to those the Father calls to Christ. The direct access to the Father which Christ has won for us is profound, and unique in human history. This access is extended only to those the Father calls. Christ is bound not to lose any of the Father’s children. He is watching, guiding, helping, and cultivating God’s creation – the Church. Christ’s challenge is to take a human mind, and mold that mind into His own image so that He can present it complete to God.

Christ is working hard to prepare for the Kingdom of God. Just as the high priest entered the Holy of Holies presenting a gold plate symbolizing holiness to the lord, Christ presents us before God with the same covering. Through Him, God the Father will see holiness instead of our sin. We can enter before God boldly, because the Father doesn’t see us, but instead He sees the perfect holy character of Jesus Christ who abides in us. Our boldness is justified only by the knowledge that High Priest covers us and
presents our prayers to the Father. Christ is our advocate.

The Father is supreme. Yet Christ was responsible for creation. The Holy Spirit is the Father’s. Yet is it Christ who sends it to us. God performs miracles, through Christ. God will raise the dead, through Christ. God is creating a family, through Christ. Christ brings the unity of the God family to the human plane.
