Read the Manual
As we were having a discussion about learning lessons a friend mentioned a lesson he learned about repairing brakes on a car. You see he had talked with his father about his plan to work on the brakes. His father mentioned that he should read “the manual” because he understood there was something unique about the brakes on that particular car the son was going to work on. “The manual” the father was referring to was a specific automobile manual that consisted of various chapters covering practically any repair a person would do on that car. Likewise our Father in Heaven has provided us a manual about life. The word manual is primarily used to describe a reference book or document that provides step-by-step instructions, practical information, or guidelines. This message uses the example of the car manual and what we can learn from it as it applies to God’s manual – The Holy Bible.
