The Day of Small Things
Whether someone is predisposed to depression or not, the thrill and enthusiasm of the feast inevitably give way to the return of everyday life: jobs, school, household chores, and all the usual routines. We go from rehearsing, visualizing, and latching on to God’s BIG plan to returning to our SMALL lives where we may feel trapped in our everyday limitations, growing restless and possibly even resentful – like grand visionaries confined by routine jobs, modest or no congregations, quiet communities, or unremarkable routines. In this message we will rehearse scripture that reveal Our God’s love for the small and unassuming and why we should grow comfortable with the small.
