Two events, almost 2,000 years apart, bring into focus the sin of denial. We cover Peter’s denial of Christ, his repentance and forgiveness. Christ knew Peter would repent. Christ asked him three times, “Do you love me?” In answer to Peter’s replies, Christ gave him three commands: “Feed My lambs; Shepherd My sheep; Feed My sheep”. With forgiveness comes responsibility.
We should examine ourselves to see if we deny Christ in small things as we prepare for Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread.
