Overcome Evil with Good
One of the hardest types of trials to manage in life are those that come by the hand of another person. We have many tools to help us through such an anguishing ordeal. Remember to keep the perspective that somebody else’s evil against us is no comparison to what we ourselves have done to Jesus Christ, who had to suffer and die for our evil against Him.We are told in Romans to “not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Jesus and the apostles wrote instructions for us on how to do just that. They lead by example, and taught to never return evil for evil but to instead live in a state of humility and forgiveness.
If we choose to operate in this state then the evil will not overcome us no matter what the circumstances; we will bring the burden on Jesus as the true judge who will faithfully deal with the problem. Living this way brings incredible rewards both now and in the future.
