Greetings,
Through the pen of the apostle Peter, God reassures us that, “His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness …” (2 Peter 1:3). “All things” refers to the whole. As we struggle with daily life in this worldly environment it is good to remember that God has provided everything we need for spiritual growth and development. The Psalmist pointed out that, “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11).
The good things God gives His people often require spiritual “eyes” to see. They are very real – more so than temporary physical things. But we must exercise His divine power to discern “all things.” For example, the apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans points out, “He did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). Without Christ being delivered up for us all, there would be no hope for anyone. It is through Christ we become “conquerors” (verse 37) – we are able to overcome the odds stacked against us in this ugly world.
Paul also reminded Timothy that we have the “promise of the life that now is and that which is to come” (1 Timothy 4:8). God has given us life. We live each day with a new life within us – a spirit life that enables us to walk in godliness and experience the blessings of God’s good things. And we also walk each day with the hope of eternal life at Christ’s return.
We should not neglect regularly considering all the things God gives to us that pertain to life and godliness. The Sabbath day is a great time to do that.

Bentonville Feast Site 2017 – Room Reservation Deadline Near
The Four Points and the Red Roof Inn at our Bentonville Feast site have reminded us that our booking contract with them ends on the 4th of September. That means that after that date the remaining rooms we contracted for will be released back into their general inventory, which in turn means that anyone booking a room in those hotels after that date will not receive the special pricing that we negotiated with these hotels. We are slightly short of the minimum number of rooms we promised them, so if you are planning to attend this site, it would be advantageous for you and for the Church if you could book your accommodations soon.
Warm regards,
Brian Orchard
