True Peace Defined By God
Peace and peacemaking are very important to God. One might say that they are closely connected to the concept of reconciliation and are qualities that God wants us to develop in our lives. God tells us that the those who develop this quality will be blessed and will be called His children. Matthew 5:9 reads: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”
We have all experienced people who pursue peace as a means of motivated self-interest. But what does Christ mean when He tells us to pursue peace? What characteristics define us as true peacemakers?
