Looking for Value in Life
In Judaism liturgy, the book of Ecclessiastes is read in its entirety on the weekly Sabbath during the days of unleavened bread.
So, why would a book that contains strong orations of pessimism, weariness, despair, and disappointment with life be emphasized and read during the joyful Feast of Tabernacles?
Because it teaches us how to gain the only thing of value in our temporary lives and dwelling during the feast in tents.
