Wife – A Help Meet
Biblical instruction to wives conflicts with popular feminist sentiment. This friction distracts us from the profundity of God’s design.
The Apostle Paul magnified the wife’s role as a model of our relationship to Christ, the betrothed husband of the Church. So we all have to master it.
Christ existed and ruled creation before the Church, as did Adam before Eve. A wife is God’s gift to her husband. Submission isn’t enough. She is to be a strengthening helper to his purpose, yet with boundless creative imperative. She is the expressed glory of her husband.
Before the Father transforms us into spirit life, we must learn to be joyful, capable and fitting wives.
