The Slave in You
After 400 years of slavery, powerful miracles of God broke the power of the Egyptians and allowed the Israelites to finally be freed. What we saw next, however, was the Israelites continued failure to accept and understand their freedom. They could never really cast off the mindset of being a slave. Likewise, the power that sin and its consequences have over human lives is likened to slavery. Once again, there is no escape except by powerful miracles of God. Will we accept our freedom, or succumb to our old slave mentality?
