Our vision is the unified spiritual Bride of Christ, living and representing the gospel of God’s plan of salvation for humanity. Our mission is to nurture the church family as a spiritual organism, feeding the flock and sharing the gospel.
It would be difficult to envision a more troubling scenario for human beings than the cessation of life. Death is common to all and an inescapable reality to every person. Death has reigned since Adam’s transgression and the one holding the power over death is our adversary – the devil. God provided a solution to this problem before the foundation of the world and before time began, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which addressed and solved the problem of death. Paul discusses this in Hebrews 2:14: “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil”.
This gift requires that we change and die, but this time it is a voluntary decision. This death is symbolic, pictured by baptism and the death of the old man. This death, which is spiritual, leads to life. We are now delivered from death to live a life as a new creation, looking forward earnestly to the resurrection from the dead. Physical death now represents a period of rest and sleep as we await a crown of righteousness. God’s plan of salvation will continue until all is accomplished. Paul provides a summation in 1 Corinthians 15:24-26: “Then comes the end when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death”.
