The Captain of Our Salvation
Salvation is a saving act of God and the deliverance from sin and it’s penalty requires a Savior. On this first day of Unleavened Bread we focus on the role of Jesus Christ as our Savior. In fulfilling that role, Christ “lifted up” and glorified the name of the Father. We are lifted up with Christ through redemption to become witnesses of the great God.
We honor God’s name by the absence of sin in our lives. To this end, Christ is the author and finisher and finisher of our faith – the captain of our salvation.
