God made man, and instructed him to tend and keep the rest of creation. This placement of man, designed in His own image, demonstrates His intent for the human body; it serves a purpose. So does the Body of Christ. We are living sacrifices, and members of one another comprising His unified Temple. The chosen people comprise a common, which is individually and collectively dependent upon the living Father God. Christ is the head. Life flows from and is sustained and defined by the head. Apart from
Christ, both his historic atoning sacrifice and his living presence, there is no Church. Man continues to make decisions of and from himself, resulting in division among us and separation from Christ. Instead, Christ demands that we attain unity of the spirit, abiding together in Him. Stepping forward toward this goal, which we are so far from attaining, is to remove sin and become mature, living sacrifices.
