Symbolism of Trumpets
The annual Holy Day called the Day of Trumpets is an annual reminder that Christ will return, defeat the armies of mankind, and establish His eternal Kingdom. We make the association between the commanded observance and prophesied events by the use and meaning of trumpets throughout the Bible. Trumpets were used in ancient Israel to call the nation to assembly, to announce God’s arrival, to sound an alarm, to send the nation into war, and to proclaim the coronation of a king. All these elements are duplicated in prophecies concerning Christ’s second coming.
