Render Unto God
The Pharisees and Herodians sent a faction to test Christ by asking “Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar?” Christ’s answer stuns them. Not only is it lawful to render tribute to Caesar, but, more importantly, we should render tribute to God. Each is a tax and to render means to give back or to pay a debt. Those questioning Christ knew the scriptures and understood what Christ meant. Caesar’s tribute was a silver denarius. God’s tribute is the tithe and He determines how the tithe is administered.Download Selection
