It is informally known as dot-dot-dot. This is the most common form of an ellipsis; a row of three periods. Since dot-dot-dot indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or a whole section from the text; you might find it interesting that the Bible itself has its own dot-dot-dot. There are places in the Bible where it goes quiet. There is a pause in a speech or an unfinished thought, and we learn much can be conveyed by an omission of words.Download Selection
