Our Vision of the Unclean

Peter was given a vision of unclean animals as a way to prepare him for the influx of gentile converts. Many have taken this scripture as an acknowledgment by God that the Mosaic laws in regards to unclean meats have been abolished. This vision had nothing to do with changing meat laws and everything to do with Peter’s outlook on outsiders to the Jewish faith. Today, the same vision should be in our minds towards the Brotherhood of Christ, especially in an age when so many fail to show love to one another.
