No One Should Be Shaken
In times of societal and cultural chaos many people’s foundations are weakened and destroyed. When the rain descends, and the floods come, and the winds blow and beat on their house, it will fall. And great is its fall. What was once firm footing has turned to sand, and no house can survive on shifting sand.
We live in a time such as this – but not in a UNIQUE time. Throughout history God’s people have been faced with trials, tribulations and perilous times. We shouldn’t fear this time, as if God was not in control. Nor should we ignore it, as if it had no effect on us. All such times are dangerous, of course. They are dangerous to our FAITH.
How do we live through current world events? The world can only flounder from crisis to crisis. But God has given a sure foundation in His Word, the Bible.
Although there are many examples in the Bible, we’ll look at just one from the Apostle Paul: 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5.
