Liberty-Gods Gift Through His Spirit
This world, separated from God under Satan’s rule, is oppressed.
Creation groan’s for liberty. We, the first fruits, have it, and commemorate that jubilee on the Holy Day of Pentecost. The physical Israelites were tried as they walked for 7 weeks to Sinai, where they received the Law 50 days after the waive sheaf offering during the Days of Unleavened Bread. That law was a token imbuing to them God’s liberty; security and provision to the obedient.
The first century Church of God similarly received a token; a bigger, fuller one. That is, the earnest of our salvation, the Holy Spirit. Through the seed of the Holy Spirit implanted in us at baptism, God reveals knowledge of His power and purpose. It also gives us the gift of faith; the same faith Christ himself received from His Father. With knowledge and faith, brought to fullness by trials and instruction engineered by our Father, we possess liberty. We are no longer beholden to the systems of oppression Satan constructs around us. We are not even beholden to our basic physical needs. We can endure all things with hope, live at liberty, and look forward with joy to the sure promises of God’s expanding plan for mankind.
