Kindness is a character trait of God which we are to emulate. God’s perspective is radically different than ours. We are most often harsh, hard, sharp, and bitter. Offense is easily caused by the smallest turn of phrase or misinterpretation. Conversely, Christ gave himself up as a fragrant offering for our sake. He is our example. We are told to imitate the kindness of our Father and Christ. Follow the lead of the Comforter. It is by God’s kindness that we are sustained, and invited to a relationship with him. Our response should be to live quietly according to God’s way. Rid yourself of malice, and express Godly kindness. Kindness is a heart that is good, pleasant, tender, and compassionate. It is a spirit of God.
