God is the Goal
The weekly Sabbath and the Feast of Tabernacles are great reminders of God’s Kingdom. God wants us to be focused on His Kingdom during the high point of our year and the high point of the week. Pressing towards this goal, as the apostle Paul, is vital for the way we view the world and our lives. A famous experiment shows how the way we interpret our surroundings changes based on our goals. It is no coincidence that setting God as our goal, not letting anything else rule our lives, and staying in the way coincides with the first three commandments. When we set God as our goal, the world and our lives change their meaning.
