God is Good–One of the Biggest Understatements in the Bible
We know that our God is very loving and merciful to His creation. Stated very simply, God is good, and does good things for us. That term is an understatement of huge proportions. God’s goodness is far beyond the goodness of any man.
Jesus Christ, when He was asked, “What good thing may I do that I may have eternal life?” told the young man: “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but one, and that is God.” If only God is good, what does our goodness equal? Not much, but we must still strive to be true, honest and faithful to reflect our Father in heaven.
