As far as weather is concerned, 2015 is not ending on a good note for either the British Isles, Australia, or America.
Australia newspaper, The Sydney morning Herald, had a thing or two to say about recent climatic conditions in those areas.
“Record heat in southern Australia, winter tornadoes in Texas and “biblical” flooding in Britain are among the wacky extreme weather events rounding out 2015 across the globe.”
DW TV’s DW News informed its viewers on December 28th that the UK had been hit by unprecedented flooding. Hundreds of troops were deployed to help evacuate stranded citizens, the news program added.
Mashable posted a number of photos of flooded streets in Northern England. And the danger is not over yet. The website stated,
“The rain has receded in some areas, but hundreds of flood warnings remain in effect even as clean-up continues and more inclement weather looms. U.K. weather services expect the threat of additional rainfall to linger for parts of the country until Dec. 30.”
A headline on the DW website the same day read,
Dozens die in extreme weather conditions in US
Over 45 had died by the 28th and more bad weather is expected in America over the next few days, said DW News.
