Greetings to you all from Cliff Veal in London:
Mr. Orchard thought it might be helpful to give you a brief update on a couple of things going on in Europe, Africa and Madagascar.
My wife, Connie, and I will be driving over to Germany toward the first part of next week to be there for services on the Sabbath. (We are in Germany for live services on at least a monthly basis. I also try to do one or two services with the German-speaking brethren via Zoom [a web-based conferencing service] once or twice in between my visits.) On the way back we will be visiting members.
Let me bring a prayer request to your attention concerning the health situation of Leander Reinders of Holland. I spoke with Leander yesterday and he said that he had recently been to the hospital where some tests had been done. (He has had problems with his digestive tract for quite a while now.) The doctor determined that there is something wrong in the large intestine. He called it a “stricture”. The specialist who did the exam said that he wasn’t sure what it was — there could be an inflammation of some kind or possibly even a tumor. Leander will go next week on Monday and again on Wednesday for further tests. On Thursday he is to see a specialist surgeon.
I would ask you to pray for Leander. He is calm and realizes fully that his life is in God’s hands — as is true with all of us. (I should remind you also to check the Prayer Request section of TheFathersCall.org web site. There are many of God’s people in need of prayer.)
On another note, for the up-coming Passover season I am planning to split my time between Madagascar/Rwanda and Germany. I would be in Madagascar for the Passover and First Day of Unleavened Bread with a short trip to Rwanda immediately after. Then for the Last Day of Unleavened Bread I would be back in Germany. Your prayers for the preparations involved with that would be much appreciated. I had hinted to the brethren in Madagascar and Rwanda that I might be doing this and they were very excited! Please remember to keep them in your prayers.
Thank you also for your continued prayers for the ministry. We can really use it! There is a lot of work to be done and we, on our own strength, won’t get it done. It must be God working through us.
Brethren, as we draw ever closer to God, He will be able to more abundantly bless us. If we submit to Him, He can use us and as He uses us, things happen….
Have a profitable and restful Sabbath.
Cliff Veal
