Continue to Grow, Continue Forward
Often times when we complete a task that required planning and effort, or finished a hard project, or ran a difficult race, we are ready to take a break.
We’re ready to stop right here.
Sit back and relax. Our planning for the Days of Unleavened Bread involved both physical and spiritual preparation. As we complete these seven days we are ready to fall back into our regular routines. And while it would be fine to bring back the physical leaven into our daily lives, it’s not fine to bring back spiritual leaven.
To go backwards in our spiritual growth. We must continue to grow and continue forward. Sometimes we slip. And find ourselves eating leaven during these seven days. God doesn’t stop us in the act of eating. He allows us to make this mistake. Hopefully He sees our remorse.
We on the other hand recognize this simple act is a reflection of the bigger picture of our spiritual life. That we need Gods help and guidance. Of ourselves we can loose sight and slip. And when we do we need to get back on track and continue to grow and continue forward.
