Chains of Wrongdoing
Events in today’s world can create turbulence and imbalance in our lives. We can lose perspective of God’s ways and become distracted from showing kindness and love. The world’s ways of ‘get’ and ‘self’ can overwhelm us to where we become cynical and hard-hearted and cause others offense. These offenses can become heavy burdens, debts and chains of wrongdoing to us. The antidote is to seek and apply the fruits of God’s Holy Spirit in all of our relationships, so as to not cause offense.
Causing offenses is a sobering matter as Christ was sacrificed because of our offenses and those who cause offense will not inherit the Kingdom. Let us therefore examine ourselves, keep God’s commandments of love and strive to not cause offense.
