Building Relationships of Trust
Healthy relationships are essential to happiness. But these relationships need to be maintained and do require work. Trust is one critical building block of any strong relationship. Trust can be undermined by dishonesty, not keeping one’s promises and by casting blame upon others. There is a large downside to low trust and it results in stagnation of potential growth. On the other hand, trust is built by making and keeping one’s promises. We need to be faithful in our commitments to one another. We need a clear vision of godly principles. We must internalize and practice these principles. This trust builds unity and helps to build a larger, stronger community. We are to be future leaders in God’s coming Kingdom. As such, we need to be people who are trustworthy.
