Are You On The Rope
When rock climbing and using a rope, all those on the rope are personally responsible for one another. This is a valuable lesson in our spiritual life as member’s of God’s Household. God has called each of us into a relationship with Him and with one another. We are being carefully fitted together into His Household. Rock climbing is a hostile environment considering all the elements involved of handholds, weather, temperature, etc… So too in life. Life has its challenges. We need to look to God for our personal strength and guidance, but our personal relationship with God cannot be separated from our obligations to one another. We are our brother’s keeper. As times increase in difficulty, God tells us that even the elect can be deceived. Therefore we have a debt to one another to be vigilant and watchful so that all within the Church are safe and secure. Let all within God’s Household stay connected to the rope in order to safeguard one another.
