Are We Standing Too Close?
As members of God’s Church, we have been told to be observant of world events, particularly as they lead to the fulfillment of God’s plan for humankind. These events are, no doubt, topics among us as we seek to prepare ourselves for the return of Jesus Christ. Is God actively involved in what is happening in the world and just what should our approach be? Let’s look at several observations that might answer both drawn from God’s Word remembering that It is far more important for us to be seeking God’s will in our lives to help us to repent and to live God’s way for us. Then we will be able to handle more advanced knowledge when God sees fit to do so. We should be interested in what is going on in the world. I Corinthians 13:9 and 12 impart the following for us to think on…“we know in part, and we prophesy in part… for now we see in a mirror, dimly… Brethren… we do need to ask ourselves, are we standing too close to the world?
