Are We Spiritually Competent?
The Church seems to be impacted somewhat by what is going on in the world, perhaps physically, but more importantly, spiritually. In recent years, people have stated that the attitude overall in the Churches of God has changed. If it has changed, then what attitude seems to be most predominate? Now we know that throughout the history of the Church, characteristics from all seven Churches mentioned in Revelation 2 and 3 can be seen at any given time and it is true that Christ loved each one. But what attribute does the Church display mostly now? Has the impact of what we’ve gone through and the complacency of the world given us a lack of focus? Have we lost some degree of zeal? With that in mind, are we as spiritually competent now as we were years earlier? And if not, what should we be doing to get there and beyond? Today, let us go through three steps to regain spiritual competency.
