An Example of Balance
It’s hard to maintain our spiritual equilibrium in the moral and ethical chaos of the world that we live in. But we know we are called to have balance in relationship to the world. Jesus said we’re to be in the world, but not of the world. We’re to live a life as a positive example to the world, not allowing that world, in return, to mold or shape us negatively. There is a graceful balance to living out the life we are called to live that should guard us from dangerous extremes. To help us with this principle, the Apostle Paul wrote about a particular situation that came up within the Church and is a wonderful example of how to apply balance when presented with challenging scenarios.
