Overcoming… Is It Still A Central Part?
During my own personal examination this year before the Passover, a series of questions popped up in my head that may have some value to some of you. Those questions are the following: Should we be asking ourselves, “How much do I think about my part in overcoming the weaknesses that I have? Is it something that is frequently on my mind — do I concentrate on it daily or does it rarely enter my thoughts at all?” Is it on our minds so much that we could list two or three things that we’re working on to overcome right now? Note that it is the one whom overcomes… not the one who tries, that will sit with Christ. What should we be aware of so that we can stay focused on examining ourselves and overcoming our weaknesses. Today, let us take a look.
