Be aware of the subtleness of Satan. Satan moves us incrementally. Small, modest, adjustments that we don’t notice. This is Satan’s world for now. 1. Be alert. We use our senses more intensely when we are in a new place. But in a familiar place, we let our guard down and may not notice. Destruction comes suddenly, as a thief, when we sleep. Everyone is susceptible to Satan’s influence. 2. Be an ambassador of God’s way God and Christ do not change. So we should always ask, have we? How the world sees God’s people matters. 3. Use the tools of spiritual health: prayer, bible study, fasting and meditation. Being tired is no excuse. Find a second wind if you’ve been in it for a while. Stay focused if you are fresh. Be bolted down to the word of God.
