Simple Minded
Don’t we often wish that life was simpler? We know that sin complicates matters, whereas the Godly life is often characterized as the simple life, not harnessed by sin, guilt and consequences. In this context, even with its trials, the simple life can be seen as one of faith and virtue. However, the bible commonly uses the term of being “simple” in a negative connotation and as something to avoid or grow out of. The simple are those who seem to have a lackadaisical approach to life. Why is being simple, in this context, so dangerous, and what can we do about it?
