With One Accord
With the fall Holy Days coming up we’ll have the opportunity to be gathered together with brethren and be with one accord. With one accord means to be in the same place and includes not just being there but being there with a passion, a temperament, emotion. When one accord is used to describe a group it refers to a group being in the same place with the same with the same heart, with the same mind or spirit. Depending on the spirit guiding those gathered we can see very different outcomes. We’ll begin by looking at some negative examples which shed light and understanding on how the mind can be affected. By reviewing these we can get the full intensity of being with one accord led by the wrong spirit. The wrong spirit is the spirit of this world. Then we will look at positive examples of being with one accord. Examples which we should try to be when we are in a group and led by the Spirit of God.
