Waiting on God

Our American culture is presently in the process of meltdown. Violence, immorality, incivility and hatred plague this once God fearing country. There are numerous factors that contribute to the depravity that besets us, but let’s just set our focus on one for now.
Carnal impulsiveness. It’s the “now” mentality of: “I think it, I say it or do it, I encourage it” which leads to, “I hear it, I think it, I say it or do it.”
It moves among receptive minds like a wave on the water – never stopping. Our response to it should be to quietly put our sole confidence in God as we wait on Him for the standards, guidance, protection, wisdom and strength we need to stand fast in turbulent times.
